Oh so perfect...

Music plays a big part in my life and it influences me on a daily basis. I love when I can find artwork for new music that sort of reflects my thoughts for the day. I'm feeling a bit of writer's block today... so for now, enjoy an oh so perfect representation of my thoughts!

I love the color tones in this photo, and the ripple effect of the camera. Feels like I'm looking into a puddle and this is the reflection I see staring back at me.

Serenity

I found this on Flickr today and it stole my heart.

Young dreamers come here to visit...
A place well known to many.

A peaceful vision,
A broken heart,
A sort of irony.

Where lovers cry,
Where smiles bloom,
The small taste of serenity.

Here we play,
So fears run deep,
To those who see what I see,
This makes me, me.

This is my tranquility.

A Case of Blurred Vision

Walking the streets of the city, my mind wanders easily as the streets, filled with cars and people, maneuver around me. Life is so blurred, so my vision feels blurred. Which inspires a new way to look at lines and colors. There is something sensual and yet freeing to look through a blurred window. Be it a foggy glass, rain dropped window, or glazed eyes.

Photo Styling

Two ideas brought together to make something you think can't work, work.

Imagine this photo.... what do you see?

Now here is what I see....

As you enter the space, ready for the photo shoot, you are brought to the set. There you find a floor to ceiling water stained see through curtain. Bright florescent props (chairs, luggage, furniture, etc.) rage through the breaks in the drops and seams of the curtain panels. Gleaming white lights mask the room and blur the white drop room into the abyss. Models standing in contoured positions, dressed head to toe in all white skin tight body suits. Only article seen is the glistening jewelry hanging off their necks, wrists and ears. Simple but pure. Edgy but sophisticated. Raw emotion drenched with sex appeal. And the photo shoot begins.

King Python

Happy New Year. Sorry I have been away from blogging lately. However, I'm back at it, and am going to be more consistant in writing. I recently moved to NYC and this city is full of inspiration. Every day I walk around and find something new to utilize in my designs. I look forward to showing you more of what inspires me on a daily basis.
So here you go.... Today I ventured out to the Fashion District. I fell in love with a Python Snake Skin Leather while I was in one of the leather suppliers warehouse, and it made me think. I love classic contemporary design, but when throwing a bold and exaggerated piece into the mix, it makes something go from good to great.
Here I love the solid white space, with a simple
punch of yellow and a bold abstract piece of artwork.
Focal Piece: Chandelier made of chains.
Along with uniquely fashioned topiarys + bold sculptures
create the perfect balance.

This one is just a bonus, something that could easily turn
the concept from one direction of elegant and modern to sexy and edgy.
